Do I need a hair and makeup artist?

To put it simply, YES. Would you go to the Oscars without the right hair, makeup, and clothes?

Look, you’re trying to make a good impression and even the most minor skin blemishes can become very obvious when shooting in HD. It’s much less expensive to use a good makeup artist than to pay for more costly retouching after the shoot. And, when you come to Bella Saville Photography, you are never required to have your hair professionally done. I do, however, highly recommend it to get the best variety of looks for your headshots. Our team of hair and makeup artists at Bella Saville Photography is a veteran in their field, having worked on large budget TV and Film projects, high profile clients, and many are agency represented. Every photo on my website has had professional hair and makeup, yet the outcome is fresh and very natural looking.

What do I get in each “look”?

A “look” is considered a wardrobe change, along with lighting and background. With each look, you may want to alter your clothing and hair style slightly such as adding a jacket or accessorizing.

Where can I go to have my hair and makeup done?

At Bella Saville Photography, we provide some of the best hair and makeup artists available in the Los Angeles area; they are experts at highlighting what already makes you unique and are able to emphasis those qualities that can differentiate you from your competitors. When you come to have your headshots done with our team, your goal is to capture yourself looking your best. Unless you are trained in doing makeup and hair specifically for high definition photography, you will not have the skill set to get skin tones correct. Doing your hair and makeup for photos and camera is extremely different from everyday street makeup and hair. I also make sure my artists are on set for the entire length of your shoot, assuring you that any touch ups, changes, and restyling can be done.

Free Styling Consult?

On the day of your photo shoot, we want to make the most of our time so preparation is incredibly important to ensure that we get the looks you need the first time. You will receive a one on one personal styling and image consultation ahead of the day of your photo session. Additionally, we will look through any previous material that you have and send you a detailed prep list the night before your scheduled photo shoot. Our goal is to provide you with accurate headshots that represent the real you….it’s your best marketing tool and the one the casting departments will look at first. At the studio we provide a changing room, makeup station, beverages, clothing rack, and more so you can stay organized and calm.

Is my shoot weather dependent?

Bella Saville Photography shoots in a controlled natural light studio, so no weather ever affects your shoot and we have full control of light, backgrounds, and temperature. All sessions are shot in an air-conditioned studio with professional, natural lighting, as well as studio lighting, and a variety of backgrounds so we get the best of both worlds.

How Can my agents/managers/friends look at my pictures?

You can easily share your entire site, or just your favorite shots, with anyone you’d like by the click of a button.

Is there parking?

Yes, we have private guest parking for all of our clients.

How do I reserve my shoot?

To guarantee your shoot is booked with Bella Saville Photography, you must sign the session agreement paperwork and provide a $150 deposit to hold your spot. Please contact or call (323)617-5916 to reserve your appointment today.

What types of payment do you accept?

Bea accepts cash, all major credit cards, and certified checks. We no longer accept personal checks.

All Hair/Makeup artists accept cash and checks.

What happens after my shoot?

After your session is complete, I will send you a link to an online gallery where you can download all of your outstanding professional headshots. We work closely with Reproductions as our in house source for retouching and print lab.

What Lab Do you use?

We use Reproductions for everything; online proofs, 4×6’s, retouching, 8×10 originals and multiples. Reproductions is regularly voted “Best lab in LA” by Backstage West. By using Reproductions we can guarantee that your photos will have the same quality as the photos you’ve seen at our website.

Clients are free to use all images for headshot, social media, personal websites and all casting purposes.

The appropriate copyright must be given on all images. For all other uses, especially Press announcements, Magazine (print & online) and Print Media, Music or Advertising purposes please contact me directly.

By shooting with us you agree to these terms.






Photographs are artistic creations. Interpretation of artistic creations is extremely subjective. Because of this, there are no re-shoots or refunds. I always ask my clients be upfront and honest with me and I feel as if I create a relaxed enough environment for you to speak up if you feel at any point, we are not getting the desired shots.

Sometimes something comes up, so rescheduling is allowed one time as long as you give us at least 3 business days notice. Business days are Monday – Friday. Rescheduling with less than 2-business days (48) hours notice is considered a cancellation and your holding retainer fee is sacrificed. If you do reschedule, your rescheduled appointment must be within 4 months of your original session date.

A “no show” (client does not show up at the scheduled time and has given no notification) will be charged the entire shoot amount and makeup fee (if makeup artist was booked).
